Forest Region Adventure: The Ridge Hotel and Resort Annafunan, Echague Isabela

 

It was a sunny day, but the breeze was so cold upon the beautiful attraction of The Ridge Hotel and Resort. 

One of my most satisfying adventures in this pandemic so far was the time I visit the resort with my family and friends. This trip brought me discoveries and experiences as I don’t expect too much since it was a new attraction resort found nearby in our town.

The Ridge is an outdoor attraction, hotel and resort. And it is situated nearby to Annafunan, Echague and southwest Macalauat Creek. They provide air-conditioned accommodation, a swimming pool for kids, adults and one private pool, they also have free parking, room service and 24 hours’ front desk for guests. And the resort property has a mini sari-sari store, a garden, as well as a terrace and attractive features inspired by Bali, Indonesia concept and design.

We drove for one hour and thirty-four minutes to see the new resort attraction to enjoy spending our time. And we bring foods, beverages, fruits and snacks for our lunch and meryenda. Upon travelling I could see the excitement built upon the face of my cousins. And we arrive at the resort before 9 am. We buy a ticket and rent a videoke and two cottages, named Batanes and Ipil-ipil cottage.

It was about meryenda time; we are hungry so, we eat first the snacks we bring before exploring the area of the resort. After a while, we went to the comfort room and got changed to go to explore the resort before going swimming. Upon observing the place, I noticed that the private pool of the resort was closed, and it was under construction to improve and renovate the pool, slides and landscapes to put some extra features not only to beautify the area but also to give an excellent offer to satisfy every visitor.

After that, we spend our time at the pool. My cousins enjoy swimming and I just sit at the edge of the pool to watch them, since I am not good at swimming. The resort offers outdoor pools, on the left side of the pool, they have like a “kawakawayan” or bamboos while on the other side, you can see the river and green lushes growing trees and plants.  They also have many lifeguards monitoring the whole area since it was pandemic, they are strict in facilitating and they are sanitizing the resort every Sunday to ensure the safety and security of every visitor.

The cottage is made of bamboos and kugons very authentic and it is like a simple “Kubo-Kubo.” After mesmerizing the place, we had lunch at 1 pm. Me and my cousins changed our clothes, after that, we took some pictures with their photo booth inspired by Bali Indonesia and were very happy that time. Then, we go home at 5:30 pm.

Even we are amidst of pandemic, a simple travel experience provides us pleasure and avoid us from the stressors in our life. For me, I have loved this adventure since I was with my family. And I’ve learned that even the cheapest travel destination provides an affordable and comfortable experience. The important thing is we enjoyed and relaxed, and we make a perfect trip and memories with my loved ones even if it is just a quick escape. So, take a deep breath, inhale peace and exhale stress at The Ridge Hotel and Resort.
